Feldenkrais® Trainee & New Practitioner Support
As a Feldenkrais® trainee or new practitioner have you ever wished there was a safe and available place to get some support from someone who is interested in you, your background, learning style and needs…?
- Ask any question … even if you are afraid it is silly, might make you look or feel unintelligent, or perhaps not appropriate to ask at that time.
- Get support in working with new ways of thinking, experiencing and directing you own learning.
- Get help putting the pieces together that will support you in becoming a better practitioner.
- Get Functional Integration coaching via Zoom.
I currently have a mentee in her 4th year of training. She sent me a lovely letter recently, and below I will excerpt a bit of that…
“Marsha, I have found you to be an excellent educator drawing on a vast background of formal education and experience. The ease with which you weave so much information so expertly together to make sense of all the movement, feeling and sensing is remarkable. In truth, your approach is exemplar of the difference between learning and teaching, which Moshe most definitely emphasizes. You invited my questions, queries and confusions with such openness that I was able to become more self-aware and accepting of the process myself.”
Thank you, Dawne R.
How It Works
I am currently exploring ways to provide support and also be compensated for the value I can provide.
FOR TRAINEES
I am offering a single 60-90 minute session per month complimentary. Six complimentary sessions maximum.
FOR GRADUATES ONLY
Are you a recent graduate of a Feldenkrais® training or perhaps you have been “out of the loop”? Do you sense some sort of gap between practicing in the training environment and working with paying clients either in person or virtually?
A Second Approximation is my new coaching program to support you in bridging that gap. Unlike business coaching this is not about client attraction. Rather it is helping you to feel competent and confident working with clients in a way that likely results in their coming back again and agin.
Because this is a new program, and I am assessing what folks feel they need, I am offering services at an introductory single session rate.
For example
– you may have one client you would like to discuss and/or do a supervised session with and that’s it
or
– you feel you would benefit from a series of sessions looking at how take a pain or other complaint and develop tools to bring your client to embrace a more Feldenkrais way thinking and sensing, and from there design appropriate lessons.
Here is the background and experience I bring to these services.
- Over 30 years of experience helping folks improve how they move
- Academic degrees in both physical therapy and kinesiology
- Guild Certified Feldenkrais® practitioner since 2003
- Anat Baniel Method mastery trainings for working with children who have special needs, vitality and anti-aging and “high performers” 2010-2012
Additionally, I have experience in classroom teaching and have/am mentoring students in two different Feldenkrais® trainings.

- We will connect for an exploratory complimentary session by email, phone or Zoom as you like and depending on what your needs are.
- If we are to connect it real time, we will come up with a time that works for both of us.
